In the wake of the stampedes and fist fights surrounding the release of the Jordan Concord VIs last week, a Houston, Texas activist/bishop is calling on Nike to change the way it releases their highly sought after sneakers.

Bishop James Dixon of Community of Faith Church, joined by community leaders in Houston, said that Nike should be held responsible.

They also called on Nike and Michael Jordan to lower the price of the shoes, which retail for $200, and to meet customer demand.

“The people who can least afford these shoes are buying these shoes,” said Ben Mendez, a Latino business leader, speaking to My Fox Houston. “As a result of that there is more crime.”

What do you think? Should Nike be held accountable?
