Mother nature has shown itself to be brutal in India!

STORY: We Pray! Nigerian Churches Bombed During Christmas Mass

According to NDTV, Cyclone Thane hit coastal areas Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Naduand, and Pondicherry in India Friday killing 19 people so far and damaging roadways, infrastructure and over 5,000 homes.

The cyclone has caused major landfalls and floods on the coasts of India leaving many residents with very little access to communication. S Ravikumar, a resident of Puducherry, spoke on the cyclone’s effect saying:

“We don’t know what is happening in the outside world. All that we have been hearing since last night is the howling of the wind. Several trees have fallen down. Even mobile signals are not proper…”

Help is being provided as 8 teams of the National Disaster Management Force have been sent to India’s coastal areas.

The destroyed roadways are making it extremely difficult for rescue teams to provide support. Schools are being used as shelters for many of those who have lost their homes.

Our condolences goes out to the people who have suffered from this disaster.
