Shortly after Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney won the Iowa Caucuses, Arizona Senator John McCain endorsed him at an event in Manchester, New Hampshire last Wednesday afternoon.

In his annunciation he said to the crowd:

“New Hampshire is the state that will catapult Romney on to victory… That’s why I’m here. My friends our message, our message to President Barack Obama is: You can run, but you can’t hide from your record.”

One must wonder if McCain’s endorsement will do Romney any good.

John McCain is not the only person who has given an endorsement that brought either momentum or hindered a Presidential campaign. From Bill Clinton’s support of then-Senator Obama for President, to John McCain’s endorsement of Mitt Romney, we’ve seen endorsements turn out for the better and worse.
