Over the New Years Eve weekend, some one, celebrating a birthday at the Cavalli Club in Dubai, the oil rich playground and mecca of the Super-Rich, hiked up a tab totalling $108K in just two hours!

The story hit the web a few days ago but its only now that the receipt has been posted online and confirmed by the Club’s manager.
‘Despite individuals and businesses feeling the effects of the downturn throughout 2011, Cavalli Club has seen high-spenders consistently frequent the venue,’ David Lescarret, operations manager at Cavalli Dubai told ArabianBusiness.com.
The party took place on January 2nd and the receipt shows that a bottle of Cristal went for $34K, a birthday cake for $33.00 and 24 diet cokes went for $144!
‘Last year saw an average of two tables per month spend between AED 200,000 to AED 500,000 in one night, and we expect this trend to continue into the New Year,’ Mr Lescarret said.Other items on the guests’ receipt include one three-liter Cavalli vodka at $1,347.70, two three-liters of Cristal at $19,058.48, and 13 Roederer Cristals at $22,935.52.Mr. Lescarret wouldn’t reveal who the big spenders were or how many people were at the party, citing privacy rules. They’re obviously paid!
