Yung Vito, real name Vinson Hardimon, was denied bond in the shooting death of Atlanta rapper Mario Denzel, also known as Slim Dunkin.

STORY: Young Vito Arrested For The Murder Of Slim Dunkin

Slim Dunkin was shot and killed on December 16th inside an Atlanta recording studio, after an argument broke out over a piece of candy.

Young Vito appeared in a Fulton County Court where Atlanta police homicide Detective David Quinn testified on witness accounts over what happened the night Dunkin was killed.

Quinn told the Atlanta Journal Constitutional that “His laptop [Yung Vito] was left behind with his name on it,” Quinn said. “And his name was on the dry-erase board as next up to rap.”

Quinn went into detail. Apparently Dunkin walked in the studio and picked up a piece of candy as Yung Vito said it belonged to him. Dunkin went into the studio then allegedly responded with:

“I didn’t know it was yours but you don’t have to get gangsta about it,” and then went in the booth and rapped, “Dreads ain’t sh**t, I will put two to your head.”

That’s when Yung Vito ran in the booth and began punching Slim Dunkin. As Quinn recounts, Slim was defending himself and getting the best of Vito when someone passed him a gun.

Eyewitnesses say Vito initially pointed the gun at Slim’s head, but ended up firing one fatal shot to his chest.

Senseless violence once again has claimed the life of a young man. When will it stop?
