Today marks the two year anniversary of the tragic earthquake that destroyed much of Haiti.
The people have been resilient in their effort to get everything back to normal, but there is still much work that has to be done.
In an effort to brighten up the devastated capital of Port-au-Prince and its surrounding area, a project in partnership with TED prize 2011 recipient JR’s Inside Out project “Rising Souls Haiti” international is being used by professional photographers Marc Steed, Marc Baptiste, Tatiana Mora Liautaud, Marie Arago, Louis Albert Silvera Levêque, Inbal Timor and the kids from the photography workshop, FotoKonbit.

The INSIDE OUT Project is a global art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work. It is a movement taking place all over the world using photographic portraits to discover, reveal and share their untold stories.
RISING SOULS, HAITI is an opportunity to show Haiti through Haitian eyes, through faces filled with hope, pride and resilience. It is an opportunity to show a new side of Haiti and create a true and meaningful interaction between Haitians, regardless of age, color and social status.
The portraits have been placed throughout Haiti to give a face to the community of people who’ve thrived in the midst dire odds.
