For far too long, young people from underrepresented communities have gone missing without receiving the media attention they rightly deserve.
GlobalGrind recognizes this issue and has launched its very own “HE/SHE HAS A NAME” initiative in response. “HE/SHE HAS A NAME” consistently reports on underrepresented people who have gone missing and/or have become victims of ruthless crimes. As a commitment to the communities that we represent, we consider it our obligation to report on all missing persons, regardless of their identity or community association.
Since 2009, GlobalGrind has created a movement that brings dignity and respect to those who have gone missing and also to their families. Providing comfort to our children and creating a sense of security for our communities means every time someone goes missing, GlobalGrind makes sure that the story is prominently highlighted on the site and spread throughout the internet. GlobalGrind is firm in its commitment to this effort and takes pride in making those who are unknown, known. Our campaign will not expire until our national disease of violence is cured.
A new television series by TV One titled Find Our Missing will showcase and uncover stories across America in hopes of finding those who have vanished without a trace.
Find Our Missing will help shed light on the thousands of missing person’s cases that slip under the radar of the national media.
Hosted by actress S. Epatha Merkerson, Find Our Missing premieres January 18 @ 10pm EST on TV One.
