Donatella’s back! And to some, it’s like she never left.
Versace had two successful collections with H&M in the last year and the fashion house did well on the retail level.
However, Versace has been missing from the haute couture scene for 8 years. Since 2004, Donatella Versace has not shown her couture creations on a runway.

Since she brought her high-end fashions to a lower retail tier with the H&M collaboration, Donatella probably thought it was time to show the world that her brand was still couture, and she hadn’t vanished from the world of high-end luxury retail.
The Versace Spring/Summer 2012 couture collection only consisted of 15 looks, but each look showed a beautiful rendition of Donatella’s aesthetic for the collection. The dresses were brightly colored, beaded, embroidered, laser cut and in some cases, included gold plating.
