STORY: Michelle Obama Is The First Lady Of Target
Sure enough the story was fake; Michelle’s director of communications Kristina Schake shot down rumors, telling the NY Daily News that “This story is 100% false.”
Numerous British news outlets reported that the story was true; namely The Daily Mail, The Sun and the Telegraph all claimed that Obama was the reason the risqué shop saw a 12 percent sales hike last year.
They probably saw a jump because of the rumor that Obama shopped there. Either way, other alleged reports suggested that the First Lady was joined by the Queen of Qatar Sheikha Mozah, and that the pair shut down the store’s Madison Ave. location in New York for their shopping extravaganza.
If Mrs. O shopped on Madison Avenue it would all over the press; last year she shopped at Target and it made national news.
According to Agent Provocateur’s website, $50,000 would have bought 455 “Birthday Suit” thongs, 135 of the company’s classic corsets, or 102 sexy slips.
Michelle Obama is a thrifty shopper like many Americans, always looking for a deal. It’s unfathomable she’d spent fifty grand on some thongs!
