DETAILS: He’s Done It Again! Russell Simmons Presents The Ruckus

After an explosive premiere last week, we caught up with Tony to chop it up about the show, and how he turns his real life experiences into comedy bits on stage.

Check out our exclusive below!

What would you do if you really came across a white girl with a mouth full of wisdom teeth?

I would develop a relationship with her, convince her to join the circus and be her manager, because this b*tch is going to make millions. They’re going to call her The Incredible Smart Mouth Amy. Then I’ll teach her to dance or something black.

When you get on stage at Bring The Ruckus, is there added pressure because of Russell’s name attached to it?

No added pressure, because Russell is like an uncle to me and I bring the Ruckus on stage anytime and every time, especially around family. At the same time, I respect his power and weight of his name.

When did you get into comedy?

In 1992 at a Comedy Club in Royal Oak, Michigan. I was at an Open Mic Night and a friend bet me $50 that I wouldn’t get on stage, and the rest is history.

What’s the last thing that happened to you that you said you have to make this into a comedy bit?

Changing my son’s diaper, it smelled so bad. If I didn’t know any better, I swear it came from a 30-year-old and not a 3-year-old. I used it on stage a day later.

You’ve been vocal about rappers. Are there any other rappers you are not fond of?

Any rapper after 1990. I can’t believe we went from RUN DMC and Eric B & Rakim, to Lil Scrappy and C Murder. That’s why I listen to classic rock.
