We hope you enjoyed Bon Iver’s self-titled sophomore album that was released last year. Because you might not hear a new project from the band for a while.

Bon Iver’s front man Justin Vernon talked to USA Today, and he revealed that he’s going to be focusing on other projects and working with other artists.

The most startling collaboration he mentioned is one that he already did.

Justin said he recently wrote a song with Alicia Keys.

Not only that, but Justin has this idea to do a project honoring some of our best female singers, with, of course, Alicia being on there:

“I have a big idea to do an American songbook of the greatest women singers. There are so many: Casey (Dienel) from White Hinterland, Bonnie Raitt, Alicia.”

This sounds so strange and unique that it actually might work.

As for Bon Iver, don’t expect a project for a while, according to Justin. The creative force behind the spacey Bon Iver revealed the band probably won’t release some new music until 2015.
