Just a few days ago Mitt Romney told CNN news anchor Soledad O’Brien “I’m not concerned about the very poor…” And yesterday Romney received a full endorsement from billionaire business magnate and our nation’s ‘chief firer’, Donald Trump.
Allow me to remind you that Donald Trump is the man who said on the record “I mean part of the beauty of me is that I’m very rich.” A Birther, he also led a campaign to get President Barack Obama to release his birth certificate shamelessly arguing that he was not born in the United States.
This is not someone whose endorsement we should want a Presidential nominee to value so heavily. So, why does Romney honor Trump’s endorsement?
It’s because he is committed to upholding the status quo of the Wall Street establishment. He is not bashful in conveying his favor of our nation’s 1 percent and lack of concern for the 99 percent while in the luxurious and “magnificent hotel” of Donald Trump.
Being part of the 1 percent is not about being rich; it is about being rich and having a lack of concern for those who live day by day struggling to try to make ends meet. It’s arrogantly and nonchalantly dismissing the hardships of our nation’s underprivileged.
We know who support Romney wants, and it isn’t the 99 percent.
Mitt Romney IS the 1 percent and has proven to us that his bond with the 1 percent is forever.
