A little payback never hurt anyone.

In Montpelier, Vermont a prison inmate is in some hot water after he painted three little pigs on the state decal of a State Trooper’s cruiser.

Made by prisoners in Windsor, the decal shows a cow in a scene with mountains, while a pine tree has been changed to the shape of a pig.

A Vermont state trooper discovered the pig while inspecting his vehicle on Wednesday. State police say they believe the decals have been added to about 30 cruisers in the past year.

New decals will be made by Monday at a cost of $780. The expense will be covered by a surplus in the revolving fund that supports the offender work program.

State officials were not amused by the prank, as the cost of the new decals will come to the expense of the taxpayers.

Looks like the only person that’s laughing is the inmate who pulled the clever stunt.
