Nicki Minaj brought heaven and hell to the Grammy stage last night in a brilliantly-modern theatrical interpretation of the cult classic The Exorcist.
Nicki held no punches and didn’t hold anything back during her riveting performance of incoherent rambling, psychotic screams, and dope Laurieann Gibson choreography.
Honestly, Nicki’s “Roman Holiday” performance is the only one everyone is still talking about, besides Jennifer Hudson’s Whitney Tribute, of course.
And why are people still talking?
Because Nicki’s “Roman Holiday” was brilliantly insane, controversial, extremely uncomfortable, damn near blasphemous, and only a back up singer short of a full-on Broadway musical.

Of course fans could have gotten a little more of Nicki the emcee, instead of Nicki the actress, but isn’t a true entertainer supposed to include show stopping theatrics in their performance?
As a fan of music, I say yes!
Nicki did what she wanted to do for the Grammys, and despite it being an over the top and borderline a little much, it was nothing short of brilliant.
Nicki brought a little bad boy named Roman Zolanski and a lot of controversy to an otherwise snooze-worthy of a Grammy ceremony.
So hand clap to you Nicki! You have us all talking, so you did your job!
