The TV personality and E! host recently admitted that she caught a “lucky bullet,” when she found out she had breast cancer.

Giuliana and husband/Apprentice star Bill were planning to have a child when the TV star suddenly found during a routine mammogram that she had breast cancer. Giuliana was devastated, but did not let her newfound illness get her down.
The 37-year-old told Michigan Avenue Magazine:
“Do you realize that if we had gotten pregnant, I would have been done?
That would have catapulted this cancer into another level. By the time I was 40 or 41, I’m scared to think about what they would have told me.
I now know the reason why I wasn’t ever supposed to get pregnant.
People come up and they have sadness in their eyes, and I think, at a time when everyone’s looking at me with pity, I look at myself as lucky.
I think I just dodged the biggest bullet of my life.”
After going through a double mastectomy procedure, Giuliana’s plan for kids has been put on a halt for now. The star is using her experience to educate and inform others of what they can do if presented with the same situation. She plans to start a non-profit breast cancer charity to provide awareness and support.
Going through an illness is such a challenging experience, we’re so happy Giuliana has such a positive outlook on things. We wish her nothing but the best.
