After one of the most memorable red carpet pranks in Oscar history, you would think that Ryan Seacrest would be beside himself with anger!

On Sunday night, viewers across the country watching the red carpet arrivals were stunned as they watched Sacha Baron Cohen, dressed in his Admiral General Aladeen persona from his upcoming film The Dictator, spill the “ashes” of Kim Jong-Il on Ryan’s tux.

While the “ashes” turned out to be powdered pancake mix, the TV host finally took to his Twitter to respond to the incident, and fortunately, he has a pretty good attitude about it.

He tweeted:

My mom always told me to pack two jackets for red carpets, always wondered why. Now I know.

A lot of people hitting up afterparties tonight…me? I’m hosting a pancake breakfast tomorrow.

He also took to his radio show yesterday to talk about the prank:

“I was surprised, but not surprised. “I definitely did not know he was going to do that.”

“He comes over, and I asked him a couple of questions, but… You know that feeling in your gut. You feel like, ‘This is going too normally. I saw the urn coming up. It was getting closer to my chest, and then it tipped over, and it wasn’t the wind. He spilled it on my tuxedo.”

Even though he probably wasn’t too pleased with being pranked at such a formal event, we’re glad Ryan was able to find some humor in it!

Did you think Sacha’s prank was funny?
