Taylor Gang’s Chevy Woods is well on his way to being more than Wiz Khalifa’s right hand man.

Widely known for his verse on one of Wiz’s hit songs “Taylor Gang,” and also recognized from performing along side his buddy at nearly every show, the cool, laid-back, Pittsburgh native is ready to separate himself from the “black and yellow” rapper and take over the music scene himself, dominating in more ways than one.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Chevy Woods Talks New Mixtape, College Life & Legalizing Weed!

Chevy’s had the Internet and blogs buzzing for quite some time now off his own music, as he independently released three successful mixtapes; PilotRed Cup Music, & The Cookout. And we absolutely can’t wait to hear what the furture holds for this emerging MC.

GlobalGrind sat down to talk to Chevy about Taylor Gang, his relationship with Wiz, new music, and of course all the happenings in pop culture. Find out what Chevy had to say about Chris Brown and the phone snatching allegations surrounding him below!

If you had any advice for Chris Brown after the alleged phone snatching scandal, what would you say?

I think when you’re an artist, because I’ve seen it with Wiz, cameras get snatched in situations, but I don’t really think it’s a composure thing.

I think people think they have access to more than what they do. So if you’re a star, you’re in a different type of category and you carry yourself and you have the security guards around and the cameras are on you.

I think people should be courteous and not just be like, ‘Oh, let me get a pic’ and just do it.

Instead, they need to just ask the artist or his people and receive a genuine answer. It’s not too much advice; it’s just that people need to just settle down a little more.
