We’ve been pumping up this Watching Over the Throne Mixtape for a while now. And finally, on the 15th anniversary of Biggie’s death, DJ Rob Dinero and O’Neal McKnightthe two creative minds behind the project, have decided to release it.

MUSIC: Watching Over The Throne: Biggie & Tupac Bring “Niggas In Paris” To Life Like Jay & ‘Ye

In case you haven’t been following, Watching Over the Throne is an experimental mixtape where DJ Rob Dinero blends Biggie and Tupac verses with the tracks off of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaborative album, Watch The Throne.

MUSIC: Watching Over The Throne: Biggie & Tupac Bring “Otis” Back Like Jay & ‘Ye

What makes the mixtape incredible, is the fact that there is currently no instrumental version of Watch The Throne available. DJ Rob Dinero had to literally recreate every beat from scratch. Some tracks sound a tad different (“Who Gon Stop Me”), but a majority of the songs sound identical to their counterpart (“Otis” comes to mind).

We think the project is dope and we highly recommend giving it a spin.
