Teyana Taylor does a play on words to Lauryn Hill‘s 1998 The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, calling her new mixtape The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor.

BEHIND THE SCENES: Teyana Taylor Directs “Bad Boy” Video Shoot

It can be inferred that a statement Teyana Taylor wants to make with this fifteen track project is “So what if I was dropped from Interscope, I’m still hot!”

When it comes to the different collaborations that take place in this mixtape, The “Google Me” rapper has linked up with heavyweights Jadakiss, Fabolous, and the man with insurmountable “ambition,” Wale for The Miseducation of Teyana Taylor, as well as with Tyga‘s artist Honey Cocaine, and Travis Porter.

On the production side of things, there’s a few producers that make up the overall sound of this project. A name worth mentioning is Hit-Boy. You know why? C’mon “N*ggas In Paris”!

It’s obvious The Miseducation of Teyana Taylor is an homage to how much of an inspiration Lauryn Hill has been to the young femcee/singer.

And like the title of the last track on this mixtape, it’s justified to call Teyana Taylor an “8th Wonder.” She does a wonderful job of blowing those singing pipes, and giving us a few “Super Sweet 16’s” with those rap skills of hers.
