Mickey Factz drops the first scene to his upcoming conceptual album Mickey MauSe.

The three minute long “Union Square” video is not only the first of many scenes to debut from his short film/documentary of the same name, it’s also our first introduction to Factz’s alternate persona “Mau5” – which he says is “that person who hustles to do whatever to survive.”

NEW MIXTAPE: Mickey Factz ‘I’m Better Than You’

“[“Union Square”] represents the first canvas,” said Factz.

“I want people to understand where [Mau5] grew up at, where [he] laid [his] head, where [he] saw the bums smell detestful, where [he] ate and sat and spray painted on the floor, where [he] saw mothers with their children walking around and being hungry and trying to get money for their families…”

The premiere video, directed by Slick Jackson and The Observer Bureau, follows Mau5 – the ’80s street artist who is coming of age.

As he travels across the Brooklyn Bridge and goes shopping at New York’s arts and craft store Pearl Paint, he picks up an Andy Warhol coffee table book and some spray paint.

The conceptual album Mickey MauSe will feature music from both DeadMau5 and Danger Mouse and is due out March 26th.
