Obama has his eyes set on the North Carolina Tar Heels to win this year’s championship. In addition, Obama also selected the teams he felt would be in the final four alongside North Carolina, which were Kentucky, Ohio State, and Missouri.

This isn’t the first time the President has drawn out the brackets for the NCAA final contestants; he’s been doing this for the past four years.

In the last two years he has betted for the Kentucky Jayhawks, but they unfortunately disappointed the President with early eliminations both times. The President spoke on his pick saying:

“I am going with North Carolina getting revenge for the regular season victory. They are an older team more of experienced team. I think Kentucky is unbelievably talented, but I think Marshalls’ play — Zellers’ play — I see North Carolina winning it all. I think this will be a great game. I think it will come down to the wire. But in the end — I think it goes back down to Chapel Hill.”

The President also said initially he was a bit confused on whether or not to side with Kentucky or North Carolina, but eventually sided with the Tar Heels.

Hopefully the Tar Heels won’t disappoint the President!
