Over the past few days, there has been major outrage over an alleged rampage committed by a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan.

STORY: Caught On Camera! Footage Of Soldier Who Murdered 16 Afghans Released

The 38-year old Sergeant, whose name remains unidentified, murdered 16 Afghans in a village located in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He was stationed the Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Since the rampage, the Taliban has promised revenge and many in the Afghan community are demanding that the soldier be executed.

However, Afghans are not the only ones who are upset over the killing. President Obama and his Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta have both condemned the attack. Obama said he was “heartbroken” over the matter and Panetta said that there’s a possibility the accused soldier will face capital punishment.

Unfortunately this isn’t the first time the world has seen violent acts committed by soldiers on civilians. At a 2009 Texas military post called Fort Hood, Major Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly murdered 13 individuals!
