A 33-year-old up and coming rapper was shot to death while shooting a video in his own Philadelphia neighborhood.

STORY: HE HAS A NAME: Ramarley Graham, Shot & Killed By NYPD On Surveillance

The shooting occurred in the Olney section of Philadelphia, where the as yet unidentified man was shot in the head and then ran over.

The video was being recorded near the security cameras of a restaurant, which apparently captured the violent and deadly incident.

According to ABC 6 News, there was a crowd so large at the corner of 5th Street and Tabor Road during the rap video taping, undercover Philadelphia police officers were watching over it.

That’s when they saw a 33-year-old man being gunned down in the street.

Police say more than 100 people were gathered for the recording when around 7:00 p.m. shots rang out striking the victim.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said:

“The scene initially was very hectic. Once shots were fired, you’ve got a crowd of a 100 people. They flee in every direction.”

In the melee, a car accidentally ran over the victim who had been shot in the head, he was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The officers who were on the scene grabbed potential suspects, three of whom had guns on them.

Small continued saying:

“There were other individuals out sitting on their porches, walking up and down the sidewalk; we had heavy traffic riding up and down the street, so the fact there is only one victim is pretty incredible.”

Investigators don’t know what led to the shooting or if the victim was targeted; either way, residents say it’s senseless while police continued working late Thursday night to obtain a copy of the surveillance video of the incident from the nearby restaurant.

Several witnesses spent the evening at homicide being questioned and the name of the 33-year-old victim has not been released.
