We can’t front, we really like A Bathing Ape

Before there was even a store in the US, the Japanese brand had been on our radar. The only problem that we had with BAPE was their astronomical prices. $70 for a t-shirt and $230 for a hoodie is not the most budget conscious price range, but that never stopped us from fitting a piece in on a special occasion.

Now it seems that A Bathing Ape has taken a little thing called the recession into consideration and is set to release Aape, a more affordable extension to the already extensive A Bathing Ape brand.

The lower price point hopes to attract buyers from the teenage market with a disposable income. The style of the clothing reflects the designs that we have all grown to love from A Bathing Ape, but obviously incorporates new designs and patterns for a young Bape enthusiast to hype over.

The prices will range from about $48 for a t-shirt to about $120 for a hoodie, which still isn’t necessarily cheap but nearly half off the normal BAPE prices.
