Welcome to Thursday! It’s a short week for most people because of the upcoming Christian and Jewish holidays, which is already cause for celebration, but today is also Three Stacks Thursday and we have got some great things for you to do if you are free of a budget. In today’s installment of Dollars & Sense we have put together some great things for you to do in Paris, the City of Love. Check it out below!

Visit Tim Burton – The Exhibition

Tim Burton is one of the most widely known and well-loved film directors of our time. His work has a cult following of sorts and is easily recognizable. Chances are you have seen or own a movie that Tim Burton directed. The MoMA initially featured this exhibit, that houses 700 works, including drawings, polaroids and storyboards, that retrace Burton’s career from pale Californian teenager to drawer for Disney and neo-gothic fantasy Hollywood filmmaker. This is a complete retrospective of his work so far and a chance to see the director himself, who will be attending several conferences. The exhibit is being held at the La Cinémathèque Française, 51 rue de Bercy, 12e.

Visit The Eiffel Tower

No trip to Paris is complete without visiting the Eiffel Tower. Built in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair, it has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world; millions of people ascend it every year. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. It’s actually free to visit, but it’s one of the most awe inspiring parts of the city, so pay it a visit before you come back to the states.

Financial Tip Of The Day

Cook At Home Often

If both the husband and wife work, this is likely to be very difficult. Start out with the habit of cooking at home once a week and slowly increase the frequency until you find a balance between saving money and getting stressed out.
