Melody Thornton showed up to the Avalon for Elle Magazine Women In Music event with all headlines on her high beams.

For the “slanglistically” challenged, that means her tits were out.

PHOTOS: See Melody Thornton Show Her Boobs On Elle Red Carpet

The big voiced, tiny girl with the big mouth, wasn’t shy about flashing her boobs through thin layers of sheer see-through fabric for the cameras, paparazzi and her own Instagram followers. I’m not mad at her. She joins a long line of women whose fashion fails have exposed their private parts to the world.

The only thing is, this isn’t exactly a fashion fail. She purposely wanted to show off her amazing rack. Cool. I get it. In the words of Tupac, if you got it and others want it…

But I can’t help but think that there are other ways to be sexy and get attention from being sexy. Melody could have done a sexy photo shoot like Rihanna’s 2010 GQ cover. The Bajan singer turned heads when she posed topless on the magazine and inside it got hotter. She stuck her crotch in the camera and touched herself. For crying out loud, I get hot just thinking about it.

I can’t help but think of the Dave Chappelle joke. Just because Melody is dressed like a star thirsty for attention doesn’t mean she is … That’s 100 percent correct.

But she is wearing the uniform of someone who is trying desperately to get some attention. Don’t get me wrong, I love when women expose their breasts, but come on! Her mixtape Piss On Your Black List was freaking dope and told me she was an artist who demands attention. But don’t piss on my foot and tell me it’s raining, tits and sheer fashion.
