GlobalGrind got a chance to sit down with Sunny Bak and Talib Abdul Haqq to discuss their thoughts on being showcased in Rush Arts Gallery.

So what does it mean to the both of you to be showcased in this gallery?

Sunny Bak: It’s a big deal because its like coming home, reuniting with old friends, I mean this is not really my childhood but a really critical time in my life and the most fun time in my life. So, its really good to see everyone in New York and share pictures that i’ve been holding on to for the past 25 years and for the boys to go into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, that’s huge.

Talib Abdul Haqq: This is the illest day of my life, that magnetic gift that Russell has bestowed upon me.

Their work is absolutely amazing and the exhibition will be open until the 14th!  There will also be a book signing of Def Jam Recordings: The Last Great Record Label, written by Bill Adler, Def Jam’s founding publicist, and Dan Charnas.
