Welcome to Thursday! Who-hoo! You got over the hump and into the final stretch of the work week. It’s time for a little fun!

The best part about today’s installment of Dollars & Sense is that we are missing one thing: a budget! Check it out in today’s Three Stacks Thursdays … Adrenaline edition!

Go Tandem Sky Diving:

If you are a beginner or a new skydiver, tandem jumping is an ideal way to introduce yourself to this mind-blowing adventure of skydiving. In a tandem dive, you’re harnessed securely to a certified instructor who knows the ropes and how to give you the optimum adrenaline rush – safely.

You can request your instructor to execute the turns or flips that are generally reserved for more advanced skydivers. Your freefall lasts for nearly a minute. Your body falls at speeds nearing 120 mph.

Your expert instructor guides you through every step of the sky dive and get’s you bak to the ground safely.  All you have to do is hang on and enjoy the ride.

The entire experience can cost you anywhere from about $200 to $350 depending on the type of jump you choose and whether or not you opt to take a class before your jump.

Go Bungee Jumping:

Bungee Jumping for many people is a lot scarier than sky diving. There is always the fear that something will go wrong, but the ratio of things going wrong to it going smoothly is so skewed that you have nothing to worry about.

Bungee jumping involves jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. The tall structure is usually a fixed object, such as a building, bridge or crane; but it is also possible to jump from a movable object, such as a hot-air-balloon or helicopter, that has the ability to hover above the ground. The thrill comes as much from the free-falling as from the rebounding when the rope pulls back and recoils.
A single jump may set you back about $80, but the memory of it will last a lifetime. Oftentimes people who have experienced bungee jumping once will do it again.

Financial Tip Of The Day

Subscribe For Another Year

For those of you who subscribe to magazines, chances are that you subscribe for a year at a time. However most magazines offer a severely discounted price for subscribing for an additional year. Oftentimes it’s almost half-price. If it’s a magazine that you know that you will be reading anyway, you may as well spend the additional money now, so that you save later, when you would normally be renewing your subscription.
