Obama’s campaign manager Jim Messina in a memo titled “What is Mitt Romney Hiding from the American People,” called on the presidential nominee to release his returns as most politicians do. Messina said in the memo:

“On the eve of April 17th, Governor Romney has yet to provide tax returns from the period in which he made hundreds of millions as a corporate buyout specialist, or as governor of Massachusetts, the experience he says qualifies him to be president.”

Last week, President Obama, along with Vice President Joe Biden, released their 2011 returns.

It is going to be interesting to see how Romney’s hesitation to deal with tax issues plays out.
