Sweet hometown beauties have been leading the fashion game since the beginning of time. Now V magazine has paid homage by combining some industry icons and supermodels on the rise in an “American Idol” spread.

Take for example models like Arizona Muse, who stormed through 2011 as the leading fashion model and hails from Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Or model Karlie Kloss, who has mastered every designer catwalk, but is really just a St. Louis, Missouri southern belle.

Then you have icons like New York’s very own Carol Alt, who graces the American Idol pages, as well as Pennsylvania’s Elaine Irwin.
In honor of the spread, all the ladies also wore special garments from hometown grown designers like Michael Kors, Donna Karen, Alexander Wang and Ralph Lauren.
