Back in February, Nas’ 17-year-old daughter Destiny Jones tweeted a picture showing off some condoms by her bed.

DETAILS: Nas Announces “Life Is Good” Album Release Date

Nas isn’t afraid to tackle this subject and much more on “Daughters,” the newest single off his upcoming Life is Good album. Over a smooth and soulful beat produced by Kanye West’s right-hand man No I.D., the rapper goes in, addressing all the struggles a single father can have raising a daughter.

VIDEO: SNEAK PEEK: Nas “The Don!”

The rapper isn’t afraid to put any of the blame on himself, either. In the second verse he raps:

“This morning I got a call, nearly split my wig. The social network said Nas go and get your kid. She’s on Twitter, I know she ain’t going to post no pic of her self under dress. No inappropriate sh*t, right. Her mother cried when she answered. Said she don’t know what got inside this child’s mind. She planted a box of condoms on the dresser and she Instagramed it. At this point I realized I ain’t been the strictest parent.”

Deep. And it’s a nice contrast to Nas’ first single, the more energetic street banger, “The Don.”
