Kanye West gave young Chicago-based rapper Chief Keef the ultimate cosign by remixing his street banger, “I Don’t Like,” adding verses from Pusha TBig SeanJadakiss and Ye’ himself.

But how did the remix come about? Did they record the track in the studio together?

MUSIC: Chief Keef, Kanye West, Jadakiss, Big Sean, Pusha T “I Don’t Like (Remix)”

We don’t know how the complete story unfolded, but here is one piece of the puzzle. Nael Shehade, a producer, sound engineer and founder of Force One Seven, a production company based out of Chicago, helped Chief Keef lay down his verse.

Nael also recorded the process on camera and put it on his YouTube page. He released this statement with the video:

“I was contacted by Good Music to record the verse and hook for Kanye’s remix of Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like”. I said, “Cool! have him come by my studio, and I’ll get this done for you.” Anthony replied, “The kid is on house arrest. You gotta record him at his house.” I was like no problem, so I called my videographer and bodyguard, and we went to Chief Keef’s grandmas house where he is staying while under house arrest.

I get to the house and set up my equipment. I have everything all set to go ready to record, and Chief Keef didn’t have his verse written yet. Kanye wanted a new verse for the remix. I thought to myself “Oh man! We’re going to be here for a while.” Just as I sit down and get comfortable, he’s already done writing his verse. IT TOOK HIM LITERALLY 3 MINUTES.

This kids got some serious talent. It was a interesting experience bringing a studio to a house, but everything worked out well, and this remix is dope.”

If you don’t know the story yet, 16-year-old Chief Keef was on house arrest due to an incident involving a shooting that occurred in December.

DETAILS: SAY WORD! Chief Keef & Kanye West Are Working Together?!

The footage is pretty revealing. In the video we see the young rapper performing his verse on his iPhone, and we also see him clown around with one of his crewmembers.

The younger rapper must be off house arrest now, because last week he visited us at the GlobalGrind office in New York City.
