BK Cavalli has come a long way from his Jinx Da Juvy days.

He’s just dropped a popping new single called “Green, Yellow, Red” and he’s ready to show everyone what that new name is all about.

BK has gone through many ups and downs, including multiple stints in jail. He’s been shot at and wounded multiple times – but that was all under the Jinx Da Juvy name.

NEW MUSIC: Jinx Da Juvy Heads Back To The Studio

He told us that the past is all behind him:

“I’m happy to be home making music and reinventing myself. I’m happy to get out of Jinx and the new name will give me a new start.”

BK also explains in detail why he left the Jinx name behind:

“When I was Jinx there was a lot of negative karma and people around me. Nobody embraced me as Jinx. Also, a 25-year-old man does not want to be called Jinx anymore. Russell (Simmons) told me while I was in jail to change my name and to think about how lucky I was to be alive.”

BK’s new single comes off his EP titled Relentless, which he thinks is the best word to describe his lease on life.

When asked what words of advice he could give other up-and-coming rappers with similar issues, he said:

“Every loss becomes a lesson. You have to learn from your mistakes and be dedicated to passion. You can only win, not lose.”
