Yvette Wilson one of the stars of the hit show Moesha is dead after losing her battle with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer at 48 years old. According to reports Yvette was in need of funds to pay her mounting medical bills to help fight her cancer, but she also in need of a kidney transplant.

Her friend and co-star Shar Jackson took to twitter to ask for prayers before ultimately breaking the news of the comedian’s death.

Shar tweeted:

“Everyone plz send prayer and light to my sister and best friend Yvette Wilson. I need my prayer soldiers right.” 

When things started to get worst Shar was unable to hold in her pain before sharing the horrible news with the world.

“F*ck Cancer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh God. My heart is soooo unbelievably broken. I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but God has chosen to take my sister Yvette home.”

Many of us remember her from her classic appearance on Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam and her other appearances on shows like Thea, Poetic Justice and The Parkers. 

She will truly be missed, our prayers are with the family and friends of Yvette Wilson.
