Where do most iconic hip-hop artists go to promote and perform music off their most recently released albums?

The Colbert Report, obviously.

Nasty Nas stopped by the satirical, late-night talk show and blessed Colbert Nation with a live performance of “The Don” and “Daughters.”

However, before Nas hit the stage, he and Colbert chopped it up for a few minutes, discussing the inspiration behind his album title and artwork.

Colbert jokingly questioned whether Kelis’ ‘milkshake’ sparked the rapper’s unfortunate divorce, but Nas played it cool as always and jokingly replied back, “that was just a song.”

The forever young emcee then took to the stage and delivered a smooth performance of both tracks with the same charisma and energy we’ve grown to love him for.
