Passion Pit’s long-awaited sophomore album, Gossamer, finally drops this upcoming Tuesday, and to celebrate the occasion, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-natives dropped their video for the album’s second single, “It’ll be Alright.”
This video is a doozy.
MUSIC: Passion Pit “I’ll Be Alright”
In typical, weird Passion Pit-fashion, the visuals for “It’ll be Alright” are as abstract as you can get. The video features a security guard, who is working in a museum, getting completely hypnotized by a singing gold Illuminati-looking sculpture hanging on the wall.
MUSIC: Passion Pit “Take A Walk”
The security guard can’t help himself. He walks to the sculpture and starts kissing it, and then he gets sucked into a parallel universe.
We would explain more, but you should just watch it.
Things keep getting weirder.
The video was directed by a fellow named Greg Barth, who won some competition that the band and Genero.tv were offering.
Congrats on a dope video, Greg. But what’s going on in your head, brah?
