Baltimore County police have charged 15-year-boy Robert Wayne Gladden Jr. as an adult with attempted first-degree murder in a shooting at Perry Hall High School.

Baltimore County Police confirmed that the charges were filed in an emailed statement. Gladden, who lives on the 8500 Block of Bradshaw Road, has been charged as an adult, police said.
Police have not released any additional information but will hold a briefing later this morning.
Gladden allegedly shot another student in the school’s cafeteria. Eyewitnesses described hearing a sound like a bag of chips popping, before realizing that someone was shooting.
Baltimore police will hold a press conference later Tuesday morning. Gladden will have a preliminary hearing on Sept. 7.
