CNN’s Wolf Blitzer spoke about the peanut-throwing incident involving a CNN camerawomen during the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night.

Addressing the incident for the first time on air, Blitzer said:
“It’s just an ugly reminder that there is an element of hatred that still exists in our country.”
Blitzer described the “very ugly exchange” on Wednesday afternoon, saying that the incident was “truly shocking” and “hit home” for people at the network.
On Tuesday, two attendees threw nuts at a black CNN camerawoman and said, “This is how we feed the animals.”
Witnesses saw the incident go down and police immediately removed the two attendees from the convention center.
