Budweiser’s Made in America festival wrapped up their two-day stint yesterday. Not even crummy rainy weather throughout the day could muck up the conclusion of the show.

Legendary rock band Pearl Jam closed the show this night. And though that performance was great and even included another appearance by Jay-Z – who came out and performed “99 Problems” – the highlight of the day came earlier, when Run-DMC hit the stage together for the first time in over a decade.

Ten years is a long time to go without working together, however, Rev Run and DMC showed no signs of rust and no lack of chemistry as they swagged their way though a number of their greatest hits: including “My Adidas,” “Mary Mary,”  “It’s Like That” and of course, the all-time great, “Walk This Way.”

Run-DMC was so good that in the middle of their set, Jay-Z and Beyonce worked their way from the VIP section to the crowd to get a better view of the legends.

A touching moment occurred about 30 minutes through Run-DMC’s set. The music stopped and Rev Run talked about the band halting the group after DJ Jam Master jay was tragically killed in 2002. Then, Jay’s two sons, who are also DJs, Jam Master J’Son and Dasmatic Mizell, both rocked a solo set on the turntables, proving that Jay’s legendary DJ skills still live on.

Besides Run-DMC, the other major rap entities to hit the stage yesterday were Odd Future, who had a very lively crowd watching, including Jaden Smith. Drake was also on hand to hold things down with some help from 2 Chainz and French Montana.

Earlier highlights from the festival included lively performances from Roc Nation’s first lady Rita Ora, who has the number one album in the U.K. this week, Philly-native Santigold and R&B legend Jill Scott, who cemented the greatness of her set when she brought out fellow Philly rapper Eve to raucous applause.

Just an incredible finish to an incredible festival. We hope to see you again next year, Philly.
