Welcome to the weekend! You made it all the way here and there is no looking back.  Try not to focus on Monday at all because we have got some cool things that you can do, especially if you happen to be in New York City.  We know that Fashion Week is in full swing but we have found some things that you can do that won’t require you to get dressed up  right in NYC.  Check it out below.

Attend Barrels & Kegs: A Rockaway Beach Beer Event
More than 15 (mostly) local breweries will rally for this boardwalk foam fest, presented by Beer Sessions Radio and Edible Queens. Your ticket buys you 20 pours—suds come from Sixpoint, Wandering Star, Long Ireland, Coney Island or newcomer Rockaway Brewing. There’s no food included, but consider a pit stop at boardwalk concessions because we all know what happens when you drink on an empty stomach.

Address:

Rockaway Beach and Boardwalk

Go to Taste of Williamsburg Greenpoint

This waterside snackfest, happening  on Sunday September 9th, which raises funds for the Northside Town Hall Community and Cultural Center, brings together more than 50 vendors, including local faves such as Pies ‘n’ Thighs, Cafe de la Esquina, Crif Dogs and Cafe Colette.  It’s like having all of your favorite snack-time eateries in one place.  You will be able to hang out and just take in the day while enjoying snacks from all over the city in one place

Financial Tip Of The Day

Make a List before you go shopping!
Impulse buying is not only real but it’s dangerous. It’s very hard to resist the temptation to purchase extra things while shopping; therefore it is extremely important to make a list first! Without creating a list, you will buy extra things and possibly forget the things you came to buy! Not only will it save time but it will also save the stress of going back to the supermarket if you forgot something!
