It seems like Bill Clinton’s speech at the DNC was one to remember for President Obama, since he has mentioned it in 3 of his campaign stops since then.

Apparently, Obama was suggested to give Bill Clinton the title “Secretary of Explaining Stuff”, which has been a big hit at his campaign hauls.

Yesterday in St. Petersburg, the President told the crowd that he edited the title due to its explicit language.

He told the Portsmouth, NH crowd:

President Clinton — (applause) — made the case in the way only he can. Somebodyemailed me after his speech — they said, you need to appoint him secretary of explaining stuff. (Laughter and applause.) That was pretty good. I like that — the secretary of explaining stuff — ‘splanin. (Laughter.)

He then told Iowa City:

President Clinton made the case the way only he can. (Applause.) Somebody sent around a tweet saying, you need to appoint him secretary of explaining stuff. (Laughter.) So I thought that was a pretty good idea.

Finally, he told St. Petersburg:

After he spoke, somebody sent out a tweet — they said, you should appoint him secretary of explaining stuff. (Laughter and applause.) I like that — secretary of explaining stuff. Although, I have to admit, it didn’t really say “stuff.” I cleaned that up a little bit. (Laughter.)

From now on, it looks like we have to view Bill Clinton as the “Secretary of Explaining Stuff.”
