Labor Day has passed, and the white pants are folded and ready to be tucked into the back of the closet, but it was very much summer with Joy Cioci during her New York Fashion Week presentation this morning.
The show took place at the box theater in Lincoln Center and instantly transformed the room into a taste of beach summer goodness circa the ever-so-fashionable 1920s.
The Ready to Wear line was rich in blue hues, intricate lace and beading details to kick the summer fun up a notch and allot an extra touch of RTW glam.
Notable pieces (and my personal favorites) included a pleated maxi dress with a white embodied bodice, and the printed leggings with mesh inserts; a must have for spring.
To accent the prints, Nars makeup artist Uzo stuck with pale blues, and white eyeliner over the top silver additives; the perfect fashion touch for a fashionable beach feel. Also worthy of mention are the white caviar manicures the models were rocking, as well as the ’20s style swimming caps.
As per usual, Joy Cioci’s pieces are not only practical ready to wear items, but maintain their romantic feminine feel.
