Bebe showed up and showed out with its 2013 showing, and it may come as a surprise to many that the brand is exactly on point with their new direction.

Bebe’s founder Manny Mashouf is taking the brand away from the club-girl sexiness that it has been known for in the past and re-inventing it with quality leathers, Japanese fabric and a subtle perfected sex appeal.

The showing of the Spring 2013 Ready to Wear line was displayed like an art of framed work yesterday at the Chelsea Art studios and featured models framed by futuristic, window-like portals, allowing spectators to have intricate looks at the construction details.

Models worked identical tangerine pouts, with a spring line that was heavy in leather, including buttons and collar accents, and while half of the collection was dark in jewel toned greens and classic blacks, the other half played up crisp whites and pastel pinks.
