We are deeply saddened by the loss of four American lives in Benghazi, Libya, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. Our condolences go out to the families of these innocent people.  The abuse of religion to propagate hatred is deplorable.

All good people in the world must unite in unison condemning the vitriol of a filmmaker, who although has rights to spew his hatred, must recognize that there are sick, misguided people who will use his words to validate violence.  The acts of violence that have ensued by extremists, their reaction to religious insults, are even more sickening. All good men and women of “the book” know that this type of divisiveness is not what the prophets taught or what our human hearts desire.

There is no conflict between Islam and Judaism.  There is only conflict between those who believe in co-existence and those who seek to destroy human life. Our work continues, even during this very difficult time.
