Hey Fabs!
TV shoots, red carpets, designers, parties and – of course – the collections!
Wow, this September has been a perfect storm of all things fab – and we’re only half way through!
Last week I headed to the fashion capital, New York City, for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week to see the Spring/Summer 2013 collections and let me tell you, fabulosity was in full effect!
Between co-hosting E!’s “Fashion Police” where Adam Lambert, Amare Stoudemire and designer Jenny Packham popped in, to filming my new docu-series about running an online fashion company, “House of Fab,” I was booked solid before even sitting down to see my first collection of the week.
Of course, the fashion is what I came for and I attended a number of shows. Some of my favorite collections were Marchesa, Donna Karan, Custo Barcelona and Charlotte Ronson – a longtime friend for whom I designed shoes for her fashion show.
As a champion and defender of the high-low mix, I wore a super-chic H&M dress that was only $60 to attend Donna Karan’s show which was proclaimed the “it” dress of fashion week by the New York Post! I paired it with one of my favorites from this season – a lemon yellow Birkin along with JustFab’s Brigitte Stiletto.
With Ming Lee, Aoki Lee and Kenzo Lee along for the ride, my time in NYC was that much better.
Even with all of this going on, it was only right that I give you all a fabulous recap and an inside look into my whirlwind trip to New York Fashion Week!
