The indie band’s sophomore album, Babel, has scored the biggest numbers for a debut album this year. Last Saturday, while performing at the Global Citizen Festival, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl told the crowd: “This is it, man. We don’t have any [shows] after this,” adding fuel to the fire that the iconic group was breaking up. Well, according to Dave, the break up rumors are false. However, the band will be going on hiatus. Dave released a statement saying that they will take an extended break but that he “can’t give up this band.” [NME]
