Twitchy reports that the Twitter user @kyle_kyle posted multiple tweets, threatening to assassinate the GOP presidential hopeful, stating:
“If romney is elected I will assassinate him” and “I want to kill Romney more and more every day, one day I’ll snap and someone is going bye bye.”
Later on that night at around 8:35 pm, he deleted the crude posts and expressed remorse, tweeting:
“i was only joking about my romney comments, i know now that they are serious and should not be put on twitter even as a joke… (sic)” and “[N]ever in my life will i ever take the tinyest fraction of a step toward any of the U.S goverment officials with viloent intentions. NEVER (sic).”
Consequently, the Secret Service will more than likely pay a visit to investigate the user, who could be charged with a fine, five years of imprisonment, or both for threatening the life of a major Presidential candidate.
