The election is just four weeks away. In a short time, Americans will have to confront the pressing question: Who will be elected as President of the United States? This year’s election is arguably one of the most contentious of our time, with Americans proposing to leave the country should their selected candidate lose the election. It seems all eyes are on President Barack and Former Massachusetts’ Governor Mitt Romney, and of course their wives!

For fashionistas everywhere, this election is without a doubt one for the books. First Lady Michelle Obama and Ann Romney have given us a host of style-worthy looks to drool over this season. From splashes of color to hints of print, these ladies have not only shown the public that they know politics, but that they most certainly know trends.

So, who do we think would make the most fashionable first lady? It’s a toss up. Yet, style divas have been signing in on their decisions. Recently, fashion maven Solange Knowles chimed in on the debate. In an interview with the Huffington Post, Knowles complimented Michelle Obama on her “impeccable” taste. She said:

“It’s impeccable. Not only is her style just stunning, but I love what she does for the American people and the American women specifically in terms of owning yourself and not wavering it towards other people’s perceptions, especially as a first lady. I’ve seen [people criticize her] in terms of her showing arms or legs, but I think it’s so amazing how she empowers women to have a really strong sense of self and go after what makes them happy first.”

When asked on how prospective first lady Anne Romney measures up to her competition, the 26-year-old singer had just two words, “No contest.”
