Last night, Elle magazine celebrated the women in Hollywood who are blazing trails and setting trends, for the 19th Annual “Women of the Year” Awards.

The red carpet was the ultimate celebration of girl power, as Hollywood’s most fearless women glammed up to celebrate their hard work.
Celebrities such as Julianne Hough and Elle’s current cover girl, Sarah Jessica Parker, opted for neutral tones, while starlets such as Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Kristen Wiig were on trend in jewel tones.

Speaking of Kristen, the funny woman gave quite the speech when she stepped up to the podium to accept an award:
“I haven’t pooped in four days. I’m serious. I’ve been traveling and I’m nervous about tonight. I’m wearing this tight dress and it’s uncomfortable. I’m getting concerned. I’ll take something tonight, I promise.”
The event is a follow-up to the magazine’s November issue, which highlighted women in Hollywood with the subjects of choice being SJP, Octavia, Elle Fanning, and Emma Watson.
