Rep. Todd Akin, infamous for his “legitimate rape” comment back in August, was arrested multiple times in the mid-1980, reports The St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

STORY: Mitt Romney Lied Under Oath In Messy Divorce Court Case 

Last month during a campaign event, the Missouri Senate candidate admitted that he was arrested during an anti-abortion protest. However, the St. Louis newspaper dug up records showing that the controversial candidate was arrested in March and April of 1985 for criminal trespass and resisting arrest at abortion clinics within the St. Louis area. But he was never charged.

The St. Louis police department also confirmed that Akin was arrested in 1987, but said records of the arrests were closed under state law because Akin never convicted.
